Zak has been around prosthetics as far as he can remember since his dad is an above knee amputee from way before Zak was born. Zak shares, “I was always fascinated with the prosthesis and enjoyed testing out ways to make my dad’s prosthesis better and more comfortable since I was a kid”. Zak was raised in Paso Robles, where he graduated from Paso Robles High School. Zak attended Hancock College and worked part time in our Santa Maria Achilles office prior to leaving for more school. Zak attended Sonoma State and finished his grad school at CSU Dominguez Hills before returning to Sonoma County for his residency in Petaluma, CA. In 2004, he moved back to San Luis Obispo County and came back to Achilles Prosthetics to provide custom care as a Certified Prosthetist and Orthotist in both our San Luis Obispo and Templeton office locations. "Being raised in the North County community, my passion is to bring the highest level of care and technology to our local amputees and orthotic users", explains Zac. When not crafting prosthetics and orthotics, you will often find him enjoying time with friends and family with big barbeques and motorcycle rides.
